
This is a unique dish as the sesame seeds are ground into the masala to give it a diffrent taste altogether.
Ingredients:
Peas 2 cups shelled and boiled
Oil 2 tbsp
Tomato 1 cut into 8 pieces
Kasoori methi (fenugreek leaves) 2 tbsp
sesame seeds 1 1/2 tsp dry roasted( to garnish)
Masala(grind together with 2 tbsp of water)
onions 2
garlic flakes 2
sesame seeds ( til) 2 tbsp
cumin seeds ( jeera) 1 tsp
coriander powder 1 tsp
red chilli powder 1/2 tsp,
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
salt to taste
Method:
To prepare masala, grind onion, garlic, til, jeera, coriander powder, red chilli powder, haldi and salt with waterto make a fine paste.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan or wok. reduce heat, add masala and fry for 10 mins, stirring continuously
Add tomato pieces, boiled peas and kasoori methi, stir fry for 5 mins on low heat.
Serve sprinkled with some roasted sesame seeds.
