
Those who shunned potatoes bracketing them as fattening, better start savouring the spuds for potatoes have almost twice as much potassium as banana, plus plenty of complex carbohydrates and fibres.I personally like this reciepe as it tastes a bit different and belive me you will love it.
potatoes 250 gms diced
Kasoori methi(dried fenugreek leaves) 2 tbsp
fenugreek seeds ( methi dana) 1 tsp
vegetable oil 2 tsp
Ginger 2 tsp finely chopped
Garlic 1tsp finely chopped
kitchen king 1 tsp
Green chillies 3 finely chopped
salt and pepper to taste
water 1/4 cup
turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Chaat masala 1/2 tsp
Green coriander 1 tbsp
Method:
Heat oil in a thick bottomed non stick. Add methi dana to it when they change colour, add ginger, garlic, greenchillies and then turmeric at the interval of 30 sec between the two ingredients.
Add potatoes, salt, pepper and water.
Cook covered for 10 mins on low flame. Stir well now add fenugreek leaves, kitchen king, chat masala and green coriander mix well and cook covered for 5 mins on low flame.
Serve hot with chappaties or poories.
